i have posted several leftover bread recipes till now, but this post of bread cheese balls recipe is one of the lip-smacking recipes. the combination of aloo, bread slice, cheddar cheese and deep frying is simply amazing. many can argue about the combination of deep frying and bread slices and assume that it can absorb too much oil. but i would like to clear the confusion once in for all with this post of cheese bread balls. as matter of fact, if the bread slices helps to absorb moisture and also not break while frying. this should hold good for most of the bread snacks recipes. i get a lot of query regarding the same and i thought of clearing the confusion with this post.
in addition, i would like to add a few tips, suggestion and variations for bread cheese balls recipe. firstly, i have used crushed cornflakes to give crispy outer coating, you can alternatively use breadcrumbs or rava/semolina. also, the bread slices can be replaced with breadcrumbs to absorb excess moisture from potato. furthermore, stuff the cheese cube well to prevent cheese melting; as a safety precaution, freeze for 30 minutes before frying.

Steps-
- Take a bowl.
- Add 2 boiled and mashed potato ( aloo).
- Add 1 finely chopped chilli.
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste.
- 2 tsp chopped coriander.
- 1/4th tsp crushed pepper.
- 1 tsp mixed herbs.
- 1/4th tsp cumin powder ( jeera).
- 1/2 tsp salt.
- Take 2 slice bread ( white/brown) cut sides.
- Cut pieces.
- Mash and mix.
- Add bread if required.
- Form dough.
- Soft dough.
- Take a small bowl.
- Add 2 tsp corn flour.
- 2 tsp maida.
- 1/4th tsp crushed pepper.
- 1/4th tsp salt.
- 1/4th cup water.
- Mix well. No lumps.
- Take crushed corn flakes in a plate.
- Make small ball sized from the dough and flatten them.
- Put cheddar cheese in it.
- Stuff well.
- Secure tight.
- Dip the smooth ball in the corn flour batter.
- Roll in crushed corn flakes.
- Coat well.
- Deep fry in hot oil OR PREHEAT AND BAKE @180 degree C FOR 15 MINUTES.
- Stir occasionally.
- Do not break. Golden brown.
